As my pappy would say, “By God, girl, you got some balls.”

And on top of that you can write. This is something that needs to be heard by the younger folks who don’t comprehend that the new “old boys’ club” is the same as the old “old boys’ club,” they just look cooler doing it. They couch it differently.

So thank you for sharing experience not all that different than the experience Dr. Ford shared before Congress, knowing full well that the same people — or their sons and proteges — that don’t like and will try to discredit and/or dismiss what she said will try to do that with you. They will just be more insidious and soft focus about it, but they will try.

I always love it when someone writing on these platforms says something that needs to be said. That is always the hard stuff because it requires taking a real risk. Good for you.
