Don’t Shoot the Messenger

…don’t eviscerate the person who delivers news you don’t want to hear.

So I just need to articulate this very clearly, as much as I try to mix things up so the political writing is not all that people know about me. First of all, I do this sort of thing at a professional level so this odd perception that some of you — who apparently don’t grasp the big picture — seem to have that this is personal for me, that I sit in front of my computer all day engaging in the literally thousands of conversations and arguments with people I do not know, who may or may not like my perceptions, is either quaintly naive or just bizarre. Depending on the situation. Once I research and document an article my inclination is to post it and let it speak for itself. I do all manner of other things that have absolutely nothing to do with any of this. Cause, you know, life. But my social media presence is essentially a ‘professional’ page.

This business of trying to pull me into lengthy discourse to parse facts into non-existence because you don’t like what they say is getting more and more unwelcome. The facts are the facts and if you don’t like them go argue with the mirror. And if you don’t like my analysis of them because they don’t comport with your bias, then go write your own fact based, solidly researched piece — remembering, of course, that using references to several sites all…
