I rejoined Medium for a minute just to respond to this: Christina Applegate has had both breast and all her reproductive organs electively removed to try to avoid the cancer that runs rampant in women in her family, only to be diagnosed with rapidly progressive MS recently.

It took extraordinary courage for her to even do that season of 'Dead to Me' knowing full well that she would be trolled by people like you who didn't even ask why. I mean, the weight gain from treatments alone is troll chum.

So while I agree that the plastic surgery thing and I'm sorry these women feel that is necessary--Amy Adams isn't even 50 yet--but you have no idea what is driving those choices. For you to write this sort of thing without exploring it further makes you no more or less a woman shaming troll than Nick Fuentes or Candace Owens.
