No, I know a number of people identifying as Christians who did the right thing from the start, even some far more socially conservative than I am. But the ship sailed on “do the right thing” a long, long time ago and people have died in miserable circumstances created by this reprobates bullshit.
So no, it ain’t about “faith,” it’s that I loathe this brazen “too white to be believed” opportunism. These guys gonna have to do way more than this to redeem themselves for their failure to act on this insult to humanity.
I’ve spent a good deal of time studying the man they call Jesus: he was a Palestinian Jew of color with frizzy hair, a wide nose, thick lips and broad flat feet. He would have long since been turning over the tables in their temples were he here today.
Christians didn’t even appear until 30 years after his death as a bunch of Jews being pursued by the Romans who renamed themselves Christians to keep from being slaughtered. And that is where it all went off the rails.
This ain’t faith, it’s a transaction.
