Yeah, Walz was the right choice. The day before she announced I told Mike that he would be the guy. Initially my big black slightly radical liberal partner wanted her to enlist Gretchen Whitmer and run all balls to the wall. But I think he knew that wouldn't happen, esp since Whitmer needed to be at home for now. And of course, two women? Not there yet.

Then he moved to Shapiro but I said 'no' and he said 'how do you know that?'. I said 'cause his kids are not little.' Beshear and Shapiro both have little kids and the next weeks are going to breakneck. That's asking too much of small children.

And then there's the sweet Gus who now has a bubble of love around him. And damn if Tim Walz is not a pro: his whole life has prepared him for this. He internalizes none of this GOP bullshit.

And I absolutely love that, when Anne Coulter--that 62 year old mattress--said what might be called cruel things about Gus online, his father just posted 'and maybe this is why fiancés keep leaving you'. Didn't give the crazy c*nt any oxygen.
