You make a very good case for the continued emerging of Ron DeSantis, but I see it differently: he really has shown himself to be a despicable guy and an oddly dumb one. All that education and this is what has come of it?

But DeSantis has so shaken the Hispanic community that farmers, construction foremen and restaurants can't find short term or day labor. It still remains to be seen how the Disney debacle plays out but it may not go well for pudding fingers. He spent state tax dollars to relocate migrants from Texas to points north, figure that shit out. All his bans and draconian measures will be playing out in court paid for by all Floridians while students and professors are choosing not to go to school there, and still others are transferring out of state to get out from under the abortion restrictions; a thing that matters a lot to young women.

My suspicion is that he completely implodes early, Iowa maybe. I don't love Chris Christie but he will excoriate DeSantis, and Trump too, which is why orange bumblef*ck may be a no-show.

It's easy to see Ron DeSantis as a dangerous man when he has any power, and for sure, the guy is a wannabe authoritarian. But he is also weak, grossly unattractive and none-too-smart: I think the odds are just as good that in five years he is selling real estate at the Villages or living in his mom's basement begging money off her to pay his child support.
