You were clearly reactive to Yang and you have spent a lot of your own energy being “repulsed” at Yang. That is sort of a waste of energy.

First of all, Yang is not going to be the Democratic nominee. His pitch for the ten viewers who could to AndrewYang.com “right now” to have a chance as some big bucks was just in bad taste. Sounded like a pitch for “Trump steaks.”

I have no problem with Andrew Yang’s immigrant story, it is just as valid as the Guatemalan fleeing death squads. You made a big leap when you said he said immigration should be limited to people like his dad. I don’t believe he said that. It doesn’t help you case to attribute the same coarseness to Yang that we are all attributing to Trump.

But that is not my issue with this piece: you are clearly a very smart, very passionate young woman, and I would really like to see what you can do when you pick a more compelling subject, worth all the energy that you put in to writing an essentially unnecessary article.

If you choose to take offense at every poor choice of words by a fundamentally decent person you will waste all that passion. Choose your battles and write about what matters.

This was just wasted time.
